From the first test to the last part: oven, range & cooktop repair
An oven that is well off temperature is usually a failing sensor or a tired element rather than a control board, and the difference in cost is considerable. Replacing the board first is the expensive way to find that out.
On gas ranges the igniter is the most common failure. A weak igniter still glows but no longer draws enough current to open the gas valve, so the oven lights slowly or not at all — and a glowing igniter misleads people into thinking it is fine.
We calibrate against an independent thermometer rather than the display. A dial that reads 350 while the cavity sits at 315 is a repair that has not finished.
Anything involving gas gets leak-tested on completion. That is not optional and it is not an extra.

FAQ
Oven, Range & Cooktop Repair questions, answered by our technicians
Why is my oven not heating or not holding temperature?
On an electric oven, a failed bake element, a temperature sensor, or the control board; on gas, the igniter, which weakens over years until it will not light the burner. An oven that heats but is far off the dial is a sensor or a calibration. The temperature is checked with a thermometer after the repair, not assumed.
Do you repair induction and glass cooktops?
Yes — element and control faults on radiant and induction cooktops are repairable, and a cracked glass top can often be replaced as a part. Gas cooktops with igniters that click or burners that will not light are routine. Built-in and high-end brands are handled; the parts take longer to arrive for some of them.
